A.C. generators or alternators (as they are usually called) operate on the same fundamental principles of electromagnetic induction as d.c. generators. They also consist of an armature winding and a magnetic field. But there is one important difference between the two. Whereas in d.c. generators, the armature rotates and the field system is stationary, the arrangement in alternators is just the reverse of it. In their case, standard construction consists of armature winding mounted on a stationary element called stator and field windings on a rotating element called rotor. Transformer Losses-all types

An Ideal transformer  have no energy losses i.e zero losses, and 100% efficient. but in real (In practical) transformers, energy is dissipated in the windings, core, and surrounding structures. Larger transformers are generally more efficient, and those of distribution transformer usually perform better than 98%. Experimental transformers using superconducting ( Super conductor is one that in which zero losses occur) windings achiev e efficiencies of 99.85% but it will be available in coming years. Automatic Night Lamp with Morning Alarm using 8085 Microprocessor

As the name suggests “Automatic Night Lamp with Morning Alarm” was developed using Microprocessor. 8085 is the Heart of the system. The sensors are made with help of LDR which are Light Dependent Resistors, whose Resistance is inversely proportional to the Light falling on it. The LDR converts the light energy into electrical energy and this variable electrical energy was converted into digital signal (0 or 1) by using the timer IC555.
